Lake Argyle is still in Western Australia and a place we decided to stay and explore. It is a large man made lake which was creaed by the damming of the Ord River in 1960 and is about 1000 sq/km. It is also the home of diamond mining and produces approx. 25% of the worlds diamonds. Unfortunately there were no samples. Set amoungst the red, rough and rugged country side of the East Kimberley it was a very pretty place.
