Katherine was the first place we actually saw aboriginals around. Unfortunately the white man has destroyed them and most sat around the streets drinking and had no future. The highlight for us was a sunrise cruise up the Katherine Gorge. One thing you soon learn in the Northern Territory is that all the pictures in the books are exactly how it is. Every new place has the most amazing scenery. Katherine Gorge was gorge-ous !
