My 2003 Christmas Menu

Here in Australia it is normally quite hot for christmas so a lot of the traditional things from Europe you really cant eat. Seafood is very popular here at christmas time and we get plenty of it and good quality.

Starters:
* Platter with smoked cheese, trilogy cheese, edam, tasty cheddar, prosciutto, smoked salmon, Danish salami served with water crackers and country grain crackers
* Home made Guacamole (avocado dip) with corn chips

Main Meal:
* Seafood platters with Mud crabs, tiger prawns, and balmain bugs
* Seafood skewers with scallops marinaded in sweet chilli sauce, prosciutto, prawns marinated in garlic and tomato, cherry tomato, capsicum, and zucchini - rolled in fresh garden herbs
* Asparagus steamed with red and yellow capsicum, shallots and fresh garden herbs
* Fresh calamari rings crumbed
* Salt and pepper squid pieces
* Tenderised baby octopus marinated in honey soy
* German style potato salad
* Green mixed salad
* Freshly warmed bread stick

Drinks:
* Cool crisp wine- Tulloch Verdelho 2002
