BABY BOOK NOTES - March 2006

You are 8mths old

You are getting better when you take a fall to be more graceful and not land so hard. Your balance is improving all the time. You are an active girl from the time you wake till bedtime. Always so happy and cheery so if you cry we know something is not right. You got a bit of a cold but mummy had the cold too. On Thurs 9 March you stood on your own for the first time. You have been getting clever and stand just hanging on with one hand and trying to get to the next thing you want to stand next too. On Fri 10 March we could see the first sign of a tooth and you had been a bit grumpy and on Sat 11 March your first tooth popped through but you coped well and it came through around lunchtime.
The day after you broke out in spots which I thought was a heat rash. On Monday when I went to take you to childcare they said it might be measels so we went to the Dr. He said it was probably a viral rash so Daddy stayed home with you. You were not sick – still happy , eating well and sleeping but a little grumpy at times. A week later your second tooth arrived on the Monday. You developed a cough and by the end of the week it was a chesty night cough. Mummy finally took you to the Dr who put you on antibiotics. You had some lovely portraits taken this month and look so cute. Mummy is so proud and has your photos everywhere and shows anyone who will look. You weighed 8.42kg on 18 March and are now wearing 00 clothes.
You still love your food and are still the smiliest, happy baby. You are talking more and this month really started with words. 1st word Mumma which you started a bit last month. Early in the month you started with bubba and around mid month dada. You also learnt to say Ta when we give you something or you want something. And right at the end of the month you started to wave and say bye bye.
