BABY BOOK NOTES

Week 2 (1 week old)
We went back to the hospital when you were 10 days old for another blood test to check your jaundice and that was fine. You went out for lunch with Mummy and the people from work. It was Mummy’s farewell lunch which never happened before you arrived as you were early
Breast feeding was not going well and mummy ran out of milk so you started having formula by bottle. You started on 50ml bottles and were feeding every 2 ½ - 3 hours around the clock.

Week 3 (2 weeks old)
This week Mummy was taking lots of pictures of you. You started holding your bottle yourself at feed time (sometimes) already showing your are independent. You had gained 100 grams from your birth weight this week. You are still so tiny and wearing 00000 clothes which are very hard to buy. More going out for lunch with mummy and still breast feeding although that stopped by the end of the week as Mummy had a Thai panang curry for lunch and forgot it would come through the milk so you were very upset that night. Mummy got upset too and the breast milk was almost gone completely so we decided to put you on bottles. Now your bottles were 100ml every 3hrs

Week 4 (3 weeks old)
We had the community nurse come to visit this week and you checked out fine. We went to lunch again this week with friends. Your weight was 3.43kg (7lb 8’ )

Week 5 (4 weeks old)
More going to lunch with Mummy – that’s all we seem to do. You love being out and looking at the world around you. This week you had your first bath with Mummy in the big bath. You love bath time. We had our first family photo this week and on your “due date” had your hand and foot print done which we hang in your bedroom
Weight 3.7kg (8lb 3’)
